They can often win the game for you, even if your gunships are having a bad day with the dice. Speaking of which, also keep an eye out for cheap, fast gold ships like HMS Antelope, HMS Trepassey, or HMS Hound. Just add a Captain and they're ready to assist your big ship, finish off derelicts, or chase down enemy gold ships. You usually can't afford more than one in a 40-point game, so also consider the virtues of smaller but capable ships like HMS Victor, HMS Hyena, HMS Nautilus, or HMS Henry VIII (with a bonus against the Cursed!). England has a goodly bunch of them, and they make fine flagships. I'm glad to hear about all your big fighters. The Gargantuan was the first ship that I got out of a 99 cent Davy Jones booster pack, and sadly I broke one of the masts. The British are definitely my nation of choice as of now, even though they are a bit costly! I've also acquired Admiral James Norrington, Lord Cutler Beckett, both Thomas Gunns, the HMS Swallow, Gargantuan, Apollo, and Aberdeen Baron.
